TRUE SPEAK

I woke up this morning at 5 am to drive my cousin to the airport (40 miles away). I won’t lie, I wasn’t excited about it (ok more like, quite unhappy). As a matter of fact, on my drive home I thought to myself, it should really be a crime to be up this early on a Sunday morning to do such a mundane task. But as I was pulling up to my car port, I peeked to my left and to my delight, I was greeted with this pleasant surprise. The water was so calm, you almost couldn’t tell what was reality vs. a mere reflection of it (of course I knew, but you know what I mean). I could hear nothing but stillness — it was beautiful. I sat there for a little bit and enjoyed this spectacular view while the sun slowly creeped up from beneath the water. Not sure you can see but there was a little duck gliding on the water — oh you know, for added entertainment.I never leave my house without my camera in tow — yes, even in my most groggy state of mind. You just never know when life will create a perfect moment for you worth capturing.I’d like to have another opportunity to drive my cousin to the airport this early in the morning…Ok, maybe not.
